1. Set Massive Action Goals for massive weight loss

The worst thing we can do, in the process of creating change, is to get comfortable. You are looking for weight loss, you want the inches to drop, you want the body fat to burn! In order to make this happen you need to set “massive action goals”

Massive action goals are weekly action steps that you will commit 110% of your effort to! The trick is to start small and build up. Here is an example of a month’s worth of Massive Action Goals.

Week 1: I will workout 3 days this week
Week 2: I will continue with week one’s action goal and I will drink 9 cups of water every day this week
week 3: I will continue with the previous 2 week’s goals and I will sleep a minimum of 7 hours each night this week
week 4: I will continue with the previous 3 week’s goals and I will learn two new recipes this week.

2. Continual change is essential for continual improvement.

Have you ever lost weight rapidly and then found yourself in a position to where you couldn’t lose another pound? This probably lead to frustration and even the want to give up on your goal.

Here’s the trick. You must never stop growing. For example, if you have not worked out in 5 years and all of a sudden you start, you will of course lose weight! However, after a month of that you can not do the same and expect to get the same. You will need to increase your effort, better your nutrition, get more quality sleep, etc. You must grow into your goals!

3. Motivation gets you started, habits keep you going

You can not expect to be motivated and pumped up every day for the rest of your life. After the honey moon of starting an exercise program goes away, you must have solid habits in place! If not you will skip that workout, you will eat those bad meals, you will fall off the band wagon.

So the best time to build these habits is at the beginning. In your first month of change strive to be perfect. Strive to build a habit of exercise and being conscious about what you put into your body.

4. We overestimate what we can do in a month, and we underestimate what we can do in a year.

If you are a normal human being, then you may look for quick and easy. This is okay. It is natural to do so. However, quick and easy will not get you the results that you want, especially if you are looking for a complete positive life change.

Think in terms of one massive goal for the entire year and then your smaller action goals for weeks and months.

5. FOCUS

You can not be perfect at everything all at once. Heck, you can never be perfect at anything. However, you can master areas of your life by focusing on one area at a time. Don’t get frustrated if you are finding it hard to eat right, workout consistently, sleep well, and hydrate more all at the same time. Pick one of those areas to put intense focus on.

Getting these 5 Rules to success down can be challenging. To be honest it should be a never ending process.

Make the decision to work on them, to mold your life around them, to transform them. By beating on this craft every single day, you will find happiness in a better you!
