Personal Training- Picking Yourself Up When you Fall
Every week is a blessing. Every hour breathing is a blessing, but there are some weeks that are better than others.
I am sure that you can relate.
I am sure that you have experienced some pretty rough weeks. Some weeks where you have broken every rule of your new personal training program and given into your bad habits.
Well, that was my week. It started off with giving into bad food choices. Then continued with breaking my cardinal sleep rule.
- Saturday I slept 5 hours, Sunday 4 hours, Monday night I slept 3 hours, Tuesday 2 hours.
- I consumed way too much caffeine at the wrong times.
- I drank little water
- And I skipped three workout days in a row.
When was awoken from my gym couch at 4:22am to my 4:30am class knocking on the door I realized that I had gone too far.
Ever feel like you’ve cheated so much on your new health routine, or broke so many personal rules that it isn’t even worth trying to hit your goal anymore?
Well that’s how I felt after 4 bad days. However, I was snapped back into reality through a book that I am in the process of reading.
The quote read. “ Failure and temporary defeat are apart of the journey to success” this truth hit me right in the face and I am hoping that it will do the the same for you.
If you are feeling overwhelmed and faced with mistake after mistake stay strong. If you have been excited about your weight loss program only to slip back into bad habits just remember your goals. Success is still attainable and right within your reach.
As long as we use the mistakes and failures as lessons, then they can be our best allies. They can propel us toward any goal or desire!
So let’s pick ourselves up when we slip. Let’s keep the action train running full speed and get what we deserve!
